my ftb app wont work

i downloaded the ftb app from the website but when i try to download any of the mods it gets stuck in initiating and if i close the app then reopen it, it says its downloaded but it wont let me open any of the mods, i have a powerfull enough pc and have java 8 and 9 on my pc

Same problem here. I suggest that you try the curseforge launcher and play from there. I also have a problem there though that it gives me a white screen but maybe it will work for you?
