I recently made a FTB server on my computer for direwolf20 pack. I also have a vanilla server which works perfectly. I can join my FTB server but when he tries to join it says 'bad connection' and he then will lose connection. I have a Mac which is what the server is on.

I cannot say for sure, but unless you get an error in the server I doubt it. I'm sure that the error log from his computer will help the most.

If you want to post that for us to look at in the mean time you can. However I'm sure the answer lies in his error logs.

Wow. Your server is quite... Overloaded... Are you playing and hosting from the same machine or renting a server?

vanilla has a lot less going on in the background than ftb does. Just from your server logs, it doesn't seem your computer can handle it.

Its because your hardware is not powerful enough to host both and your internet upload speed is likely too low as well.

You computer is basically playing singleplayer + hosting a server. Post your actual hardware, we don't want to know that it has an I3 and 500 gigs of storage, we want model numbers. And vanilla is much less resource demanding then a server running the amount of mods the FTB packs come with.

Things we need to know:

What CPU
How Much RAM
SSD or HDD
Internet Upload & Download speed, and make sure to test, we don't want numbers from Speedtest if possible, we mean what you get in a real world scenario.
Java Version
What OS version and is it 32 or 64 bit
