Other than being able to turn off a side or the whole farm with a redstone signal, is there any way for the buildcraft gates to pick up a full inventory signal or any other conditionals?

I have tried all sides with a farm control block as well.

Are they autarchic? You need at least iron for pipe wire, uhhh if more than one pipe wire you'll need higher than iron. I'd also recomend clicking through the gui at least once all the way. Are they attached to a wooden transport with pipe wire already on it?

they are not autarchic, I had it on a structure pipe. I was looking for the "has work" conditional but there are no conditional options. I'm thinking singir forgot to add them.

Ahhh, yes indeed must be on the hatch and autarchic to pull out. Even though by default if you place and hatch (has to be on the bottom layer) and connect a bc transport pipe it will auto eject products.

Use better gates?
Let me dispel this rumor (again): "Better" gates never give you access to any additional conditions. A plain Gate will always offer the same conditions as a Diamond Gate. The only thing better gates do is allow you to set multiple conditions at once, and access better pipe wire.

Not entirely true. You won't get completely new conditions with better gates, but gold and diamond allow you to set what item does this condition check. This apply to conditions like "item traversing", "space in inventory" or "item in inventory"
