Did you have the soldering iron set to manual when you made the copper electron tube?

No, that setup is valid. I've used it many times before. You can't go any higher than that, but the variant as shown should work.

@manofjoe: break the multiblock and reform it - just hack a piece out of the sides with a pickaxe and pop it back in. The farm should retain its inventory but re-initialize its work status.

It very specifically in that link shows that the bricks can be flesh with the multiblock as show in the pic. His bricks are fine. He either is using a bad circuit board or that pipe isnt a wooden conductive pipe.

Yeah, his choice of words might not have been optimal, but that gif animation shows where you need to place the bricks. ;) Trust me - or try it in a test world. It works.

If you have Forestry set to OP difficulty level then what you are experiencing is a bug, the Big Dig modpack has this set to OP mode and has this very problem.

Those are valid levels for where the farmland can be placed, not the bricks: "The table above is a side representation of both valid and invalid setups, regarding where you can place your farmland."

Again: go test it ingame. You'll be surprised... :p

Urgh really guys, if his bricks were in the wrong place the farm wouldn't be harping on about no fertilizer, it would be saying no farmland found, besides it's perfectly correct how he has it now.
