I just looked up Porygon on the wiki... an artificial Pokemon somehow made entirely out of computer code... I'm a programmer... I like this.

I just kinda figured that they were basically robots, someone made the porygon body and then the code went into it.

probably the same way that flowstone works. you use energy and create matter in the form of nano bots that together can take on the form of any kind of matter. In this case they together form a Pokemon instead.
