well here's the issue i downloaded the new launcher and now i keep on going into (edit mod pack) and
disabling mods that have been known to impact performance but the people who made the launcher
made some ridiculous mistake where it doesn't recognize that a mod has been disabled and ends up
downloading the mod again and acts like it was never disabled.

here is what i think is happening you see when a mod is disabled it changes the mod name by adding
.disabled the end of the file name effectively changing the file to .disabled, but the launcher checks to see
if a mod is present but doesn't recognize .disabled as a mod and ends up thinking the mod isn't there
and as i said before downloads the mod again; a bit of an oversight wouldn't you say?

i'm pretty sure someone else must have noticed i just want to make sure the people who manage the mod
do.

This was reported to me a few times today.
I could not replicate this issue.

Force update your launcher. Download the mod pack once. Close the mod pack. Disable whatever mods you want disabled.

it didn't work at all, and before you suggest it deleting the folder does not work, nor does deleting the application and replacing it,
moving the application off desktop, removing all the data from the mod files, or even selecting a specific version of the pack.

sorry[DOUBLEPOST=1386995088][/DOUBLEPOST]by the way why are you changing the post name so much
Clarity, and I wanted to test something. It didn't work, but I didn't remember exactly what it said before so I left it on this. Sorry :/

I don't know why there are a few people having this issue.

Like I said, I can't replicate it.

i found a the cause, interestingly the option "reopen launcher after exiting minecraft" make this happen, don't ask me how though i'm no programmer... not yet at least.

well maybe its because i updated my launcher using the popup saying do you want to update the launcher with the option and i missed an update somewhere between. i think it might have caused some strange error in the preference somehow.

yeah sometimes glitches can be very conditional like a glitch in zelda ocarina of time where if
adult link uses a stick as an ocarina when the sticks are at zero a random item will be replaced with a
different thing depending on what item is on the right c button.[DOUBLEPOST=1386998623][/DOUBLEPOST]yeah its a glitch made possible by another glitch it has a specific name but i cant remember it.[DOUBLEPOST=1386998754][/DOUBLEPOST]the glitch has a name not the scenario

I had this problem too, and I found the easiest way to solve it was; in the appdata folder, there was a duplicate list of mods, I just deleted them from there, and then disabled in the actual mod list.
