Modpacks without chunk loaders?

Just a matter of dropping a file into a folder to have a chunkloader, you know.

Also, OP, why not just add ChickenChunks to your pack? You asked what others would do in your situation. That's what I'd do.

I don't like to change the FTB modpacks... because I know one thing - I know that I DON'T know what I'm doing. :)

If it is literally as easy as downloading a zip file and extracting it and placing it into the proper folder... then yes, I could do that. Please pardon my ignorance, but I kinda viewed the FTB modpacks as "sacred" (i.e. untouchable). Silly attitude, huh?

You don't unzip it.

Themed packs, kinda. All-in-one megapacks are pretty much a buffet though.

My current monster world, I've stripped about 40 mods out and put about a dozen different ones in.

I wouldn't do that with something like Magic Farm or BnB though

Yeah its that easy. I put together my own pack with all the mods I am interested in and none of the others because I play single player and can do whatever I want. IMO, Lapito's modpack looks awfully sparse for a pack designed around space travel. if you arent too involved in your current world it I would suggest just adding galacticraft to Monster. But make sure to disable flat bedrock in the COFHworld file or the game will crash when you fly to the moon.

In 1.7.10 it's apparently that easy (due to the fancy id thing) minus the unzipping part. I haven't tried it for 1.7, But in 1.6 it's as easy as doing those steps minus unzipping, plus fixing ID conflicts, which there's a guide to do that on the forums
