modpack loading issues

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

How much RAM do you have allocated to it? (Open launcher -> options pane -> "RAM maximum")

To play almost any modpack you need to allocate 4gigs of ram minimum.

Well I dunno how big of a requirement increase Infinity met in 2.0, but I've been playing my packs with 1.75gb. It's not great and Infinity, while playable, is not exactly 100% enjoyable all the time

The thing here is that 2gb should not cause a garbage collector issue right off the bat when launching the modpack

E: Actually, just do it the proper way. Go to options pane on the launcher and tick on "Reopen launcher after exiting Minecraft" and "Show console" and then launch the pack. If you crash, press "paste to pastebin.com" and give us the link to that
