I built a block called grinder, thinking it can grind things. But when I placed it down and looked at the GUI, it said "Mod Grinder". Does anyone have info on this? What is it used for and how do I power it?
Never used Factorization before, but the battery you need is a Battery Block not Battery Box. The Battery Box is from RP2. I've just tested and a Battery Block just needs to be touching the Grinder for it to work.
The battery block might be drained of all it's power. Unless you hooked up a solar turbine to generate power for it, in which case, I have no idea whats wrong. For some strange reason, the Factorization Grinder stopped as is no longer working.
those are rp2 solars (I think) and you need factorisation power, use a solar turbine or steam one, look up the factorisation wikiI hooked up those flat solar panels. Is that enough?
Alas, no. You'll need a couple things; a infinite water source, a solar turbine placed above said infinite water source, some mirrors(silver and glass panes IIRC) to power the turbine, and lead wires to transfer the power back to your battery. Place the mirrors so that they are "looking at it".(this means they are close enough and not blocked) S'bout it.I hooked up those flat solar panels. Is that enough?

If you need lead, you could run some silver ore through the slag furnace. Or any other mod which can net you some lead this way. Or you could always just MINE some lead, but that's kind of silly.
How's the infinite water source used?
What he said. I assumed it had something to do with generating steam to turn that turbine honestly. When the turbine spins it takes up water, doesn't seem to actually do anything with the water that it takes.
If you're using Ultimate don't bother with all the solar stuff/mirrors, just convert your existing power source using power converters into factorization power.
BC/Steam or EU consumer into an Energy Bridge into a Factorization Producer - from there you can take the factorization wire into batterys/heaters.
