if you dont mind abusing of game balance, the rock melter > magma dynamo > pneumatic engine is hard to beat at the moment. Reika said he fixed it so... hurry while it still work

12 cables, not 256. Standard socket config is this: Down: power input (omitted for lowest layer), up: power output. North: hydroelectric turbine. Power is drawn from the top of the dam.

I could upgrade this to store....about 800 million RF as well, if I bothered to take it down and add advanced power storage to the unused sides. And the real downside is that I suspect that it causes some lag through block updates.
Wasn't there a max RF output per socket?

1. Magical crops farm growing coal -> MFR harvester and planter -> cyclic assembler turning essence into coal -> steam engine/dynamo/boiler.

2. Magical crops farm growing uranium -> MFR harvester and planter -> cyclic assembler turning essence into uranium -> IC2 nuclear reactor/BigReactor

3. Magical crops farm growing redstone/glowstone/blaze rods -> MFR harvester and planter -> cyclic assembler turning essence into items -> (magma crucible in some cases) -> various adorable generator types from various mods.

4. Magical crops farm growing coal, ghast tears, netherrack, blaze rods, magma cream etc, sugar and tree farms -> MFR harvesters and planters -> cyclic assemblers turning essence into items -> grinders and pulverizers to process certain items -> fermenters processing sugar and saplings into ethanol -> fractionation unit -> RC Gas Turbines.

If you aren't running fully automated renewable energy from your magical crops farm, you're tryharding.

Indeed. Takes very little bee breeding to get to the Infernal branch. Coupled with a cobblegen you got endless maintenance free lava from the phosphor they produce. Extremely easy maintenance free power for pretty much all mods.

If using default settings. They are excessively generous.

Even with the settings used in Monster, where you don't get multiple seed drops and the yield is reduced from default, it's a simple and comfy thing to run a perfectly automated system.
