Missing items!

Hello guys

I'm a new forum user, and a recently new ftb user.
I played the ftb client, but now i'm using the ftb unleashed.
I'm in big words a real noob in terms of minecraft. Most of the time i'm derping around not doing that much usefull.
Now since i'm using the ftb unleashed mod, I noticed there were alot of items "i could build in the normal mod" not showing up in the list.
for example the semi fluid generator, plate bending machine and maybe others, i have not discovered yet.
could that be that they are not in the game anymore? or is it just the list that is bugged? or am i missing a mod?

If you have an answer on my question(s) please answer like you're explaining to your 4y old kid/sibling. I'm a retard in many ways

The items you mentioned are part of gregtech, which is not part of the unleashed pack by default

What the phoenix lodge said. I am pretty sure you shouldn't have any ID conflicts either. IIRC the FTB team put a compatible GT config in Unleashed.

The easiest would probably be to download the FTB Unhinged pack and then copy the gregtech.zip from Unhinged into the Unleashed mod folder. This way you can be sure that there are no issues with the GregTech version or the config settings.

Yes. But gregtech changes alot of other recipes and stuff aswell

So i just did this, but the items are still not showing up in the list. Also when i check the launcher, the gregtech folder is no where to be seen. I have to put it in the mod folder right?

Yes.
I think the file name was gregtechmod311.zip and it needs to be copied from the Unhinged\Mods into the Unleashed\Mods folder. If you click then the "Edit " button in the FTB launcher, you should see gregtech on the left side as one of the active mods.

aah i know what i did wrong, appearantly i took the files out of the config map instead of out of the mod pack.

No problem.

But since you are already looking at the configs: The 1.5.2 version added a lot of @#$#4 stuff, that you might not want if you are used to 1.4.7 GregTech. Maybe take a look through the configs and disable things like "WoodNeedsSaw" (or something in these lines), the decreased durability for wood and stone tools, the option that you need plates and tools to make simple stuff like shears or buckets.

Haven't played with the 1.5 gt, but from what it says there, yes. Just make a copy of you config before you change it, so you can always go back if this is not what you wanted.

Yes put false after the == symbol, and sort of for your second question. The config is pretty self explanatory, if you don't want "platesneededfortools" meaning you need the metal plate alternatives to make tools. Most of it you should be able to figure it out.

Yes I know that, but changing 100 'true' to 'false' is much worse then making a copy
(and yes I had to Do this in 1.4,7, I was so frustrated

I never said that is difficult. I said that it's just easier, not easy as not-difficult, but easy as convenient
