Mining in Horizons

I've played Direwolf packs mostly since... well since i started playing FTB. Having grown tired I loaded up Horizons this time. It's fun playing with lots of new mods, having to find different ways of doing everything. I think i could add a lot of playability, and prevent me from getting bored as quick.

But I miss turtles and quarrys.

I know i could just add buildcraft, but then I would have to get the other players on my server to add it too, so i'm keeping it true to Horizons.

But I really dont like mining. Is there something in horizons i'm missing that does mining for me?

As you said + sonic borer .Why people dont use tinkers con. hammer for mining (450 lapis,auto smelt)? It is pretty fun .

That must be from a newer version of extra utils, cause it's not in mine, extrautils-1.0.3.prerelease.1

I do a lot of this as well, but it's time I could be spending otherwise.

It's in Horizons v2.0.2 and 1 version of extra utils after the one you're playing (v1.0.3a).

You could try using the Beast Mode of the Bound Pickaxe from Blood Magic. Sure, it's not automated, but one right click and I can promise you that you will not have enough room to carry everything without some sort of portable storage.

Just don't right click in your base. That is, unless you want to remodel

Engineer's Toolbox has a module that is basically a water-powered quarry. After its area is done, you can just suck the (slick)water out with your favorite pump and do start it again in another area.
