Minecraft Server Options

Hey all,

So I am looking at hosting a minecraft server with a PVE and Minigames Mod for it. I am wondering how would I go about doing this?

Like we want people to be able to enjoy building and playing pve together without destroying each other's stuff. But then we would like a teleport from the pve world to the minigames world so they can have fun with minigames if they get bored of the other one.

If you want to make it a modded server I think you have to use Cauldron as I'm not aware of any minigame mods. To protect areas I'd use MyTown2, Cauldron allows using Bukkit plugins.

Cauldron is 1.8? Or still 1.7? I am trying to find the right balance in how many people use 1.7 Also if I am correct everyone has to have the same FTB files when wanting to connect to my server. I would like to have a world just for FTB Infinity and then have more worlds for Mini Games or creative mode only.

Cauldron and Infinity are both Minecraft version 1.7.10.

Correct

You can create different worlds with for example Mystcraft or Multiverse Bukkit plugin. and create Mystcraft portals, multiverse portals or warps to travel between them.
