I got a new gaming setup with 16 gb's of ram. The max it says in the options on the launcher page is 1 gb. I play on the minecraft pack version 6, and i crash every 5-15 minutes. within the 5-15 minutes i have 70 fps, then i drop to 0-2 and have to open the task manager. Can someone help figure out how to fix this problem. :D

Use 64-bit Java. You'll have to download it specifically. 32-bit Java is very crash-prone on a 64-bit system.

Hey man, I run minecrafthasrunoutofmemory.com and we have some great fixes for your problem on our site.

Like Velotican said above you should try downloading 64-bit Java. We also recommend that you allocate Minecraft more memory since you have more enough in your system.

Havent had to many problems with my local Server.
Question I would like to ask. When I go to Control Panel\Java and click "About" Why the hell dosn't it tell me If I'm running 64Bit or 32bit?
As it's loading from C:\..Program Files Instead of C:..\Program Files (x86) Can I assume its only running 32bit?
