Migrating to a future 1.7 based version of DW20 from 1.6

Nope it will not be possible. 1.6 and 1.7 is 2 completely different versions.
Vanilla MC, maybe think I heard something about it.
Modded MC, no not going to happen.
DireWolf has submitted his mod list to FtB for processing but it'll probably be a while before it stabilizes. You can see a lot of what they're playing with on DW's Server Play YouTube series, which just started a couple of weeks ago, or on Soaryn's Twitch stream which is real-time.
On the stream you can sometimes get bits of info about the mods since a lot of the mod devs also play on that server and there can be discussion about bugs, new fixes, etc. Sometimes DW is on during the stream recording his YouTube episodes and will ask the dev about their mod and get something changed if he runs into an issue.
