ME preformatter help

I tried to search though the forums to see if anyone asked but didnt find anything.

The question is,

I have a ME 64k Storage disk, I have begun to format the disk with different items, but noticed that only 54 slots were accepted, yet the storage disk allows 63 of 63 different items. Why can i not format the other 9 items? Is it because i am formatting the disk instead of letting it auto fill?

Is it weird that the priority preformatting is from 0-9. That's still 10 numbers, nevermind.

Why are you preformatting a 64k? I know you are looking for a solution to this problem specifically, but maybe we can offer alternatives.

Couple questions: Were you able to preformat 63 items in the GUI, i.e. you placed 63 unique items into that section?

Riuga - I cant find the version of app Eng but the version of Direwolf pack FTB is V 5.3.2 minecraft v1.4.7

namiasdf- the reason im formating the 64k to make it a little more organized, so i can store larger quantity items in it, like ingots and the like.
i placed a single item in each slot and formated it, but there is no scroll down bar to allow more to be formated, yet when i open up the ME chest and place the same 64k storage and fill it up with a stack of each item, it still has 9 empty slots below, a total of 63 blocks in the ME chest but only 54 blocks in the preforrmater, would that be because of a lack of version like Riuga suggested?

Only fix is to move to 1.5 :/
