Hi there, I have been searching the forums for a while now, nobody seems to have had my problem. Every 2 or
3 seconds i get a massive lag spike, I've tried optifine, with all animations off, lazy chunk loading and all of these settings but the lag spikes keep happening. They are consistent, same gap between each spike, here are some screenshots showing the giant lag spikes, the game is unplayable and is i hope someone can help me fix this problem. I'm currently playing on FTB Ultimate, i have a really good computer, i run on 200 fps - 500 fps, the problem are these spikes, also dedicated 3gb ram, still didnt help. HELPP!

I was having the exact same issues.
I removed optifine as it can cause issues and laso has some other issues with ladders and MPS.

The bigggest thing for me was removing Java and reinstalling Java.
Make sure your Java 64 is the newset Update 40, I was still on Update 25.

I also keep a browser open on my second monitor.
My browser of choice is Chrome which only uses 32 bit Java.
I did not have 32 bit Java on my PC at all. So I installed it so that the browser had its own 32-bit Java instanace it could use.
This made a HUGE difference in my lag issues.

Also I added the start up options from: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/jvm-arguments-for-modded-minecraft-updated-9-22-13.28994/

I have 4GB of ram allocated to Minecraft via the launcher.

I'm afraid none of those options worked, I'm really not sure what to do.. Anyone got any other ideas? Thanks a bunch though.
