This. I've found the map data to be intact after re-enabling. It just has no way to display right now.
There are several different maps supported, all are disabled by default to allow people to use the one they want (or none at all)
When you upgrade the pack, the "load list" of mods is reset to default
Every time you update, launch the game then close it, start up the launcher and chose "Edit Mod Pack", then select the mods you want, close it and your all set!
