I recently posted a thread about cheap power and electricity. When i checked some sugestions out i realized i can't try them, because i don't have the latest version of some mod. Then i started wondering, and this might be the dumbest question of the day, can you update a single mod or a couple of mods to the latest version although the modpack uses an older minecraft version.
Grateful for any answers on this subject!

you CAN update individual mods provided they are still using the same version of minecraft I.E 1.4.7, 1.5.2 or 1.6.2 however it is possible that you could encounter problems with the mods interactions. like a possible ID conflict or a world corruption things of that nature. So always make sure you back up everything before trying.
