Hi all,

Apologies if this is in the wrong section. I'm looking for a hosting company to host a FTB server for myself, kids, and a few friends. I've done a quick Google search and there are quite a few options. I trust you guys and was hoping some of you might offer some suggestions/experiences you may have.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

I am the owner of a Hosting company just beginning the exploration of hosting Mine-craft servers. I also host websites as my main business attraction. I would be willing to host your server of choice. I do offer Price match and don't charge for Quality.. some call it selling myself short.. i have learned not to charge for things i don't have to pay for you can email me if interested by going to my website http://www.ultimate-hosts.com

But would that constitute advertising or simply answering the man's question. I dont believe he is openly offering his servies at random, just merely trying to be of some assistance.

Just me $.02

i use nitrous networks although you will have to install the pack manually the best customer service. It costs 3 pounds a month or as low as thirty six pounds a year to host a server for eight people

To the original question. I'm hosting my server on www.nfoservers.com and they have been great so far. I run around 5-10 people at all times, and around 15-20 people for the majority of the day during peak times. It does NOT include automatic installation of the server, so as long as you have a FTP client, it is only a matter of drag and drop. It is not the cheapest server hosting out there for what you get, but you get what you pay for. Hardware specs:
Dual Intel Xeon E5-2690 processors
Variable RAM
Intel SSDs in RAID-10
10Gb/s Connection speed

We use Multiplay. The cheapest option with extra RAM (which we use for 2 people) struggles a bit at times, so you'd probably need a less cheap option if there will be that many people (+ chunk loaders, etc) online at once. They have servers in various locations around the world, and we've been using them for years for various things. The service is excellent.

I use mineocity hosting, they're really good and have server packages specifically for FTB. I'm on the lowest package paying $10 a month if I pay for 3 months at once (If I pay for them individually it costs $12 each) And this package can easily hold 10 people on mindcrack pack and FTBBetaA. They also use multicraft which makes starting and stopping the server easy.
