Local LAN game

I want to lay Ultimate with my step son and want to know if I need to download the server version or can I just open it up for LAN.

I have tried this in the past with the DW pack, and it did not seem to work.

As long as you both have it, the lan game option should work fine as each client is both a server and client in single player mode.

Thats what I thought, but when I open it up, he cant seem to find me, Hmmm.

I think I willopne up regular ol minecraft and see if It still works that way

My wife and I have been playing together by me opening up my computer up for LAN for about 2 months now, works great for us.

Sounds good, must be an issue on my end with a firewall or what not, I will double check. Thank you guys

Silly question, but you are allowing a lan game on the host machine, right?
