It woud be interesting to have other bunkers in the world. Most would be pretty much identical to yours but ruined and have some loot in it. There could be some with a NPC villager in them and you could remove them spawning in dungeons as it seems unrealistic. There is no form of protection from radiation in the dungeons, no food for them to eat, and no protection from mobs. Also some cities would be interesting. They could contain spawners and more rare loot than dungeons such as items that are hard/impossible to obtain.
Yes however the problem is that the ruins mod doesnt generate underground structures =/ So yea...

I think the dungeons are supposed to be failed bunkers in way by imagination .

Mobs could be explained as radiated humans and animals.

No Those bugged spires only occurs at the spawn of the world... cause i changed what the spires contained after i created the world X_#

i found that spire about 1000+ blocks away from my base, how far do i have to walk before i generate new chunks?

Terribly sorry I'm sure this has been answered but I have scoured the 84 pages as best I could and can't figure it out for myself.

I'm setting up a Private Server for me and my friends to play on - when we log in, none of us can use /hqm quest - I can't set anyone to an op because it seems that the server settings get reset every time it boots up? Also, I saw that the work around was to "open to lan" the server to enable cheats - however, "Open to Lan" is darkened out and I can't click it :(

Second, the world doesn't seem to be the proper map - though I have heard that there is a workaround once you have the book from /hqm quest to teleport yourself and eachother to its location - Note: I have copied over the EasyCore world to the world folder (replaced world with easycore I mean) and also tried it with hardcore - no luck.

This is the 1.1.13 server download from FTB if that is important.

I'm just wondering why you have the only base. None others like yours. Also I just thought about something. Is it possible that the dungeons were built by the zombies? They were the poor, those who were not among the reserved to leave. The radiation drove them to insanity and they had to stick together for safety. They built bunkers out of the ice and snow created by a nuclear winter. Soon they had to expand further underground and had to use stronger materials to prevent collapses. They became more paranoid and built traps. Soon they lost all sentience and became mindless.

It never says how long you been in suspended animation :)

What if you just used like world edit to copy the bunker, edit it, then paste it in at random spots. Also, who built the bunker? I mean like story wise. The government seems the most likely. With the city idea make several buildings and just copy/paste them in random groups. In one there could be a government building such as a HQ with the rarest items (Gladorian blocks or whatever, diamonds, etc)

Just thought about something. The world is ravaged, nothing left but spires and dungeons that are in decent condition yet made of snow? Also a base in perfect condition.

Take what ya know and use imagination to fill in the gaps, Slowly failing bunkers, radiation, animation pods malfunctioning, the people could have been reanimated months or years before you, suffered major memory loss,
Spires resulted in nuclear core melt down.
Its not science its fantasy.

Think about this do you remember what you did before you woke up out of animation lol

I am just saying that everything is in ruin yet your base just happens to be untouched.

To set on server op, you use server console and type command in: "/op [username]". Open to LAN is for Single player to invite others to your world, not for server.

see this like the setting of 300 with its few factions.. the human eating underground people that catch humans to give them to the bunker people that harvest their blood to survive radiation (MCA + zombies) and then the outdoor tribes that survived thanks to immunity to radiation or mutations that helped them to survive ^^
