I'm a moderator on an Ultimate Pack server and we're playing around with how we should introduce Mystcraft to the community and we're looking for suggestions.

At the moment only staff can create worlds and its going to stay that way but we're looking for how to limit the use of link books (we're currently playing with everything on hard mode and even /home costs some in-game currency and has a cool down time). We don't want to just make them craftable to all and, ideally, we'd be able to limit the number per player to 2 or 3.

Problem is, they can't really just be sold at the market we have, and it isn't like we can restrict the use of vanilla books..

Any ideas anyone?

You can disable the crafting, and have them get the item via a command. A linking book's location is set when it enters a player's inventory.

That's a great idea. For one I can think of having Essentials kits available to players, since I can make the /kit command cost money. Thanks for your input!
