But of course if you don't show how you could be useful for me then we can always use you as food, I know from personal experience that foxes taste delicious.

Good, now I must say you had a nice fur I think I will keep you as my pet for now.
*He commands that someone should give Mia a blanket and stop her in a cage for now. He then goes back to Umlondai to asks questions about why he gave up and let himself get captured. Umlondai stays silent. Some humans then get him out of his cage to torture him by hitting him with an metal whip they hold in the fire until it glowed red from the heat. The king goes and stands before him and asks the same questions. Umlondai answers by spitting in the face of the king*
 
Stop! Don't torture him anymore.
I brought him here. I wanted him safe and this is the safest place we could be.
 
*The king ignores Mia, he is way to angry that Umlondai spit in his face to listen. Some humans get a barrel of oil and a glass. They put some oil in the glass and heat it until it catches fire then hold the head of Umlondai back and make sure he can't close his mouth then pour the oil in his mouth. Umlondai then sees one of the night creatures in the distance, the pain gets replaced with fear for the night creatures and the heat of the fire in his throat gets replaced with their cold. This allowed Umlondai to not give in, the king is both annoyed and secretly impressed by how much pain Umlondai can withstand. The king decides that Umlondai should be brought back to his cage.*
 
*The king now listens and answers Mia*
I doubt it is just that, he knows what would happen to him once we caught him, he protects something and I want to know what.
If you want that we stop torturing him then you tell us what he wanted to protect.

For now we stay here, soon we will be leaving and you will go with me to my castle to be my pet.
 
*The king gets you out with the blanket and brings you to his bed to sleep with him.*
 
*The creatures of the night pay Umlondai a visit, they allow him to touch them and regain some energy as thanks for keeping silent.*
 
*The next morning people discover that some people have been frozen. Of course the first suspect is Umlondai who gets punished with more torture, this time they managed to make him scream from the pain.*
