Meanwhile...
A small reddish-orange speck appears in the sky. It grows larger, slowly at first, but more rapidly as the seconds pass. When it appears the size of a golf ball, a small whistling sound begins to be noticeable. As the speck continues to grow in size, the sound increases in volume, reaching the levels of a jet engine before the speck, now recognizable as a fireball the size of a large man, crashes into the earth, a quarter mile away from the camp, with a thunderous boom. As the dust settles, the form of a tall, thin teenage boy can be seen lying unconscious within the crater that was formed by his impact...
