Launcher says invalid UID or password

Greetings. I just downloaded FTB and ran the launcher. I create a profile and use my basic Minecraft password and when I try to launch it reports either username or password is invalid.

Thanks for any help.

Yes I am aware of that and that is the problem. I am entering the exact profile name and password I just set.

Found the issue. I had to use my email address as the user name and wasn't aware of that.
