Launcher freezes at creating profile

Every time I run the launcher it freezes when I try to create a profile, not letting me type anything and not working even if i restarted it. I have deleted everything several times and it still does not work,I have used both the exe and jar, and made sure my java is updated to the newest version. i have also tried a computer restart.

Where do you have your launcher installed? Are you using the .jar or the .exe?
