Launcher downloading update that doesnt exist.

there have been a few occasions where the launcher says that there is a new version of the mod pack i am using available (DW20). thing is it downloads the same pack. choosing not to download the "update" doesn't launch the game. upon launch after the "update" the game functions normally. what is the deal with the phantom update?

Are you by any chance moving the FTB folder into/ out to other folders?
That tends to mess with it for some reason making it create another copy of the folder where the old one used to be.
