Launcher doesnt start after Java update.

hi there.
i had to update my Java to the newest version ...
that's Java 7 Update 25 for both, 32 and 64 bit versin ...
but after updating Java, my launcher doesnt want to start.
the launcher shows:

This application requires a Java Runtime Enviroment 1.6.0

clicking on ok just leads me to the download of the exact same java verion i just installed.

any idea how to fix that?
the installed java version works pretty fine, i used a Java Chat Applet a moment ago

Are you using a Mac? If so you can either downgrade back to Java 6 by using this guide or upgrade your lwjgl library to 2.9.0. I do not have a Mac, but I've heard both processes work well for the launcher.

i am using windows ...
before i updated my java i used java 7 update 21, and the launcher worked fine.
but i had to upgrade because my launcher didnt want to open a Java Chat applet with that "old" java version ... security reasons and stuff ...

well, i didnt get an update message for a while ...
but i also tried downloading a new file from the FTB homepage, which should be the newest version ... same problem ...

Please post your entire console log in debug mode as you try to launch a pack to pastebin.com and link to it here.

i dont even have a console ...
i didnt say that the modpacks dont start.
i said that the launcher doesnt start.
like when i click on the FTB_Launcher.exe i instantly get the message i posted in the opening post without a launcher window, without a console window

Then please try this. Follow this guide exactly to reinstall the launcher and Java. Some times a reinstall is needed and will give us a baseline to work from.
