Tried 1.2.9 and still got this when I clicked on the launcher.
((Edit)) Just realized this is for the Horizons pack, guess I should be looking for a thread on Unleashed?

i looked again closely, and it seems the "coremods" are in the "mods" folder and there is no forge

I open Edit Modpack and view the three tabs:
Mods has the "mods" and "coremods" (like Thaumcraft and NotEnoughItems)
JarMods is empty
Coremods is empty

I've downloaded it. it either stops during download and says there was an error, and prints the following:

Error downloading modpack!!!
Or it finishes, then doesnt launch, and wont launch even if I reset the launcher.
If it does download then i get the results stated above

Right, Forge and Coremods have changed in 1.6. There are no Jar mods by request of Mojang, Forge is now a set of Libraries that are loaded by Minecraft. Coremods are not needed to be in a seperate folder anymore because the mod devs now label them as coremods within the code.

I have been working on this for days! and I have nothing. I have downloaded the pack force updated and everything but right when I try to launch it says

Logging in...
Login complete.
Horizons
Downloading Mod Pack

In a few seconds a bunch of yellow writing flashes up on the log and the entire thing shuts down except for terminal on my mac. I have tried EVERYTHING and no results. I have Java 7--nothing, updated normal minecraft and installed forge 1.6.4--nothing. I this is the only thread that I have seen with this problem and I am here to tell you that this is making me MAD. Nobody has any answers for me but I just want to play the new packs. :( I cant get a log on paste bin because it shuts down immediately after launch. I have also downloaded Unleashed which works perfectly fine. I really hope that somebody comes up with a solution for this.

Oh ya, the only things in the horizons folder after I download it is

minecraft---folder
natives---folder
version---page(opened in text edit)

There is no forge in any of the folders. FML is not downloading after the main download. It seems like it is skipping it and attempting to launch without it.
