Just noticed that my blast furnaces heat capacity is 3000k. I'm not using heat coils. My set up goes like this:
S=Standard
R=Refined
A=Advanced
L=Lava

By using coils, you only need 4 or so advanced casings. I dropped to only 8 and am still over 3300. IT actually saves chrome. Make sure you have 4 in your hand when you click on the furnace or it won't work. Also, only 2 of the 3 available coils can be applied.i made my whole thing out of advanced and wondered why it wasn't working
Greg should fix :c

I think that was somewhat the point. Makes it cheaper to get to the point where you can smelt tungsten but more expensive to reuse the same multiblock structure.[DOUBLEPOST=1369334179][/DOUBLEPOST]cheaper if you only have 1 blast furnace on the casing and more expensive if you have 4 I would guess.
Could always take it down and reuse the advanced casings with another multiblock structure...Too bloody late, I built it already
