Just built my first house

I just can't come up with a design for the back:/ any ideas

Replace the floor with pretty much anything, because as is, it has no pattern or uniformity. That would be fine if that was what the rest of your build looks like, but the build you've made here has a pattern and form so it doesn't fit in

wow that is a very very very very useful thread haha thank you <3 Im not sure what I'm gonna do with the floors but I'm replacing the red wood with marble and I'm using stone bricks as like room dividers.. pics here..

Mmmm the marble doesn't look too hot. I'd say keep the red wood.

Also, the stone bricks are nice, but maybe only 2 blocks high off the ground. Walls don't always have to be walls

marble pillars smooth sandstone floors.. i don't have an eye for this kind of stuff :/ i can tell somethings off

Try using something dark. Nether brick maybe?

I agree with @Scottly318 on the darker blocks, maybe not nether brick though.

My builds are mostly modern, so i use mostly clean textures like marble, vanilla hardened clay is good but i extremely dislike the colors

And there's the problem with reading forum posts while talking to Jinbobo and working on the wiki... I read "Never built something..." as "Never build something...", as if you were telling OP what to build with and what not to build with. Carry on.

If you have Chisel installed, try messing around with some of the variants it gives.
