Java crashing

any time I load up FTB and try to run any of the modpacks. error: could not create the Java Virtual Machine: a Fatal execption has occurred. program will exit

I have restarted my computer ... uninstalled FTB and reinstalled it (to the best of my ability as I might not be uninstalling it properly... could someone tell me how your suppost to ?) and I have force updated it several times..... also the Console says that (at the time of error) that error occorred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap.

whats going on? is there something I missed? I have little info on this. I have looked online for other ppls case's on this but the only time I clould told me to reinstall FTB

I know im missing something.... I looked in my programs list and (in the start on the bottom left and under "all programs" ((that is right, right?))) and could not find anything about java even though normal mine craft works... although a week or 2 ago it had the same problem (I cant remember what I did) but then it either fixed itself or I fixed it I dont know

I am trying to go though your troubleshooting list top to bottom and i am failing at the first step...... *fake crying*

You don't have enough physical RAM. You can try closing any unnecessary programs. I would recommend saving up for a new system though.

oh....... I have 32 bit......... so java limets (or something does) me to 1 gig......

I SHOULD have FOUR my bro says its arbitary and that he could(mabye) modefy my computer so that it will give 2 or 2&1/2 gigs of ram to FTB

its stupid, but thats a story for someone else ... thanks for helping me!

ok ljonka I was able to fix it.... set your ram useage DOWN ......... strange I know but it worked for me... but it slows fps down to about 15 fps ... a couple weeks later I upgraded my computer and got a 64 bit computer.. so I was able to use more ram.... now I get about 60 - 100 fps even with high graphics

thats basicly what I did in total ... and now FTB is running GREAT now (thanks by the way to Eyamaz who helped me alot)

If you are running on 32bit you cannot give FTB more ram then 1gig sadly, but i have made a couple of test runs the hole evening and found a solution that works if you really want to try out the new modpack. When you start the game and comes into the menu, turn down the grapic to the lowest and then join a server. Be sure that the server has disabled modpacks Opis and Mobiuscore. They are the theif, i also turned off ars magica cause we found a server lagg with the ars magica mobs tho. When you have entered the server you can try raise the graphic. But i havent succed yet, only with normal render distance.
