I am using DW20's pack. It has Extra Utilities 1.0.3c.

Back when I used the version of his pack that had 1.0.3a in it, I could quarry, explore there to my hearts content. Now with 1.0.3c (not sure if it's the version, or if something else is going on) I can go there and set up a quarry, and it will run for a little bit, but eventually the quarry is instantly destroyed. And the path I dug down to the wide open area (from the port it room) is covered back in. So I dig down to the bottom again, and I find this (pic below). Part of the fencing is torn out, and what was once empty space (just cobble for the floor, and the quarry) is now replaced with liquid essence. Does anyone have any clues as to what the issue is ?

Were exactly was the quarry? If it was where that blue pool was I say Ars Magica ate your quarry with some sort of retrogen as Mr Slowking has pointed out.

If you draw a line with the two fences till they meet, that is where it was. In regards to what you mentioned, that essence pool wasn't there when the quarry was laid down. That only appeared after the fact.

Then it is ars magica 2 retrogen

But it never happened before in 1.0.3a, I wonder why now? I mean there one other essence pools there in the deep dark, but it's like that one just appeared out of thin air. RWTema is no longer employing bug fixing to EU, so assuming that it is just a bug, it won't ever get fixed.

Would deleting the deep dark folder (thereby forcing it to regenerate) possibly fix the problem?

There's probably a config option to turn it off in the ars2 configs.

Just checked it out. It's disabled by default in the Ars Magica 2 config. Gonna try the regenerating thing first, if that doesn't work. There is an option in the config to blacklist the generation of AM2 in certain dimensions. I may give that a go if this fails.

Even on 1.0.3a it messed up. I am gonna try blacklisting it in the deep dark to see if that works. I will keep ya posted. On a side note though, I have never had issues with AM2 until this point.

Here is the line I am going to edit

# Comma-separated list of dimension IDs that AM should *not* do worldgen in.

S:worldgen_blacklist=-27,-28,-29

to

# Comma-separated list of dimension IDs that AM should *not* do worldgen in.

S:worldgen_blacklist=-27,-28,-29, -100

What are dimensions -27, -28, and -29?

Well, that didn't work. I am running out of things to check as to what could be causing it.

Guess I can try to make a digger age, and hope it doesn't happen there. Anyone got any tips for a stable digger age ?
