To roll back to the DW20 pack V5? Before Forestry and Forge were updated?

I *really* want to dig into the new TC stuff, and get going on a permanent world, but I pretty much can't play without OptiFine. The only option in the launcher is 5.0.1

There's a version number dropdown list, which you could set to '4'.

But that doesn't include the new Thaumcraft I don't think. I'll test.

Oh I see, you want 5.0.0. Sorry I don't know if that can be done.

It's okay. I just backdated Forge and Buildcraft for version 5, and it works - thanks

Wait, whats the problem with Optifine? I've updated but havent been able to play yet. Mind filling me in on the issues?

Yeah, unfortunately Buildcraft uses Forge 507 (I think), and it's not compatible with Optifine (which uses 499), so when you load, it just loads and loads and loads and nada.

Unfortunately, my solution worked, but I can't take anything out of chests, or move my inventory around. Still need to tweak something.

Well damn, guess that means no texture packs for a bit for me. And I was looking forward to trying one out too.
Hopefully the removal of optifine wont murder my performance.

Just checked, OptiFine has already been updated - that was fast!
