Somehow. You are allowed to stack them and if you have a valve in the bottom and top they even "share" their "inventory".

But you are not allowed to buid them right next to each other unfortunately.

That's where amazing and cheap are Xycraft tanks! doesn't take more than a couple of ingots of iron to make the max 12 by 12 by 12 one which hold 16k buckets. The downside they're not as compact if you stack your iron tanks but overall they beat them.

I still like iron tanks for looks. But yeah XY for easy bulk storage so I mix an match the to. Often I'll have the xy tank buired and pipe it to a visable iron tank.

Now if only you could level blance between them that would be sweet. (the iron and xy I know you can level balnce between two xys)

Yea that leveling is amazing with the xycraft tanks and I heard somewhere on here that you can make a ghetto iron tank out of xycraft aluminium blocks. The closest you'll get without using those iron tanks.

But if you're on SMP breaking the valve erases the tank
