Is it bad to have a notebook with notes about how to do stuff, or just random cool things you could do with some mods? I hope I'm not the only one to do this lol.

Thanks, I do it because sometimes it's just time consuming to flip back and forth threw your browser to find something out. I would just rather look at my own notes, and the plus is I can understand them better. :D

Hmmm, I would all disagree with you myself.
The internet is the largest dictionary in the world, nearly everything possible can be found on it.
Just one quick search will give you the answers you need.
I find that notebooks don't really have a "search bar" in them, so you just have to flick all the way through until you find it.
But that's just me, don't feel as if anyone else has to do the same.

Though I would like to note that I do use a pen/pencil and paper quite a lot. Such as for diagrams, sketches or drawing, I'm actually naturally talented at the art of crafting and drawing.

I use Notepad ++ on my computer, so it does have a search function. ;)

I have a notepad on my desk, not specifically for gaming related stuff, just for general notes on things I want to remember.

The problem is it mirrors my brain, so there's nuggets of brilliant insight completely surrounded by doodles of mustelids and other assorted bizarreness.

Mustelid doodle? A new aphorism is born! :D

Seriously, I constantly take notes (and draw diagrams) on my Nook e-reader, since I can work with Office-compatible files and transfer to my desktop later.

And what would people do if they didn't have the internet... Self organization skills and being able to obtain information and save it with out a search button are important.
Also I can flip through paper notes faster then I can find specific information on the internet with my job and I work at a computer all day. When I make paper notes my memory on the matter increases. Relying solely on a search bar you teach your mind it doesn't need to remember things but rather you can simply re-search the same thing again of needed.

But that's my 2 cents.not saying searching the internet is bad, but as the OP stated he finds it easier then opening a search bar, and I believe it and will defend it.

Calm down, you didn't actually read my post. If you did you would have seen this:

But that's just me, don't feel as if anyone else has to do the same.

sample of notes currently sitting on my iphone. My memory is too much the suck to remember wth I wanted to do that night otherwise.

I understand and wasn't meant to be a rant. Just suggesting that you'd be surprised how slow the internet is compared to your own brain. I also can respect your point of view too. Which was also mentioned at the end of my post. Not all minds work the same but they all can do great things.

Most of my notes were for coordinates of places that were important.

And then I played Direwolf modpack and discovered Opis/Mapwriter and I haven't had to keep notes since. I hope FTB modpacks always include good mapping/waypoint mods, because I don't miss having little notes everywhere at all. :)

totally. I have little yellow sticky note all over the place, the only problem with that is I never remember to put "what" the note is for...so, I have no clue what the notes were meant to remind me of most of the time.

"Oh look, coordinates...I don't know which world/save these were for"
