Iridium Ore or lack there of in DW20 pack

now this is something members of my server have told me about but i have looked around and have come to find that Iridium Ore block is missing from the world gen in the DW20 pack even though is needed for the Gravisuite mod the ore it self is missing from NEI and the creative window but the item Iridium is there (ie what you would get if you mined it) so is this an known issue or just something missed?

UU-Matter. There is no Iridium Ore in DW20 because (I believe) it's added by GregTech.

If you don't know how to get UU-Matter...build a Mass Fabricator, give it tons of EU and then...wait. Add scrap from a Recycler to speed it up and use less power. Then, you take 7 UU-Matter and shape a capital "I" in the Crafting Table, and you'll get one Iridium Ore. You then need 4 per Iridium Plate.

This is correct. Iridium Ore is added by GregTech, and the DW20 pack does not have GregTech. I forget how many iridium ore went into the making of my GraviSuit Chest, but it's a heck of a lot more than I would want to try and mine based on GregTech distribution. One way or the other there would be UU-matter involved.

The GraviSuit is just incredibly expensive in the first place...especially for tin and copper with those 60k coolers. It is freakin' AWESOME, though...especially with the Ultimate Solar Helmet (also expensive, and not really in the DW20 pack stock due to no Advanced Solars).

The reason why GT has iridium ore, incidentally, is that its Matter Fabricator (which replaces the IC2 one, in Mindcrack's default config) requires iridium to make, and a huge amount of power to run. Yes, this means you have to mine a LOT to get the Fabricator set up - GT, ladies and gents.
Although it also has some special ores in the End that can also be processed into iridium, not to mention platinum.

What I'm trying to say here is if you're using DW20's pack, you probably won't need it.

Yeah, before I built the Gravisuit I calculated how much Tin you need, so I wouldn't be building stuff in pieces.

720 Tin Ingots.

I think you need 300-ish copper too. There's a lot of copper plates. I forget how much Iridium, but with out GT it's manageable. The IC2 Mass Fabricator is a lot more friendlier than the GT Matter Fabricator.

1 million EU per UU Matter. That's exactly 50 buckets of lava in a Geothermal Generator. 7 UU Matter per Iridium.

If you make a recycler, you can convert Cobblestone from a Igneous Extruder (or other cobble farm) to scrap. 45 EU per scrap @ 16% chance, 34 scrap makes a 6x reduction in UU Matter power input.

So then you're doing 8.3 lava buckets per UU Matter + 10k EU (0.5 lava bucket) + 34 Cobblestone

Yeah, I have an Igneous Extruder piping cobble directly into my Recycler...it's free to do so once you get a bucket of lava and water each in there, no power cost.
