So, I recently began messing with Thaumcraft 4 in the FTB Monster pack, and I have a problem. When I began looking for aura nodes, I noticed something strange: the nodes are invisible. They're there, I can scan them, recharge my wand with them, but I can't see them, even with the Thaumometer and goggles of revealing. I live in a magical forest biome, so I have no shortage of them.

Gotta be a bug. What version of the mod do you use?

This is a long shot, but do you use Optifine?

Sorry I'm late. I AM using optifine, as well as whatever version of thaumcraft 4 is in FTB monster. Also, I'm not sure if this will help, but since this is my semi legit world, I at one point had to delete my research data because I had accidentaly spawned in the creative thauminomocon which filled up my legit thauminomocon. Btw, when I spawned in an aura node to test out I could see the node. I don't know If it affects all natural nodes or just the ones in blocks like silverwood and obsidian totems.

Then that's your problem then, Optifine must mess with the rendering code Thaumcraft uses to make it's effects.

Optifine is really only good for vanilla as it's a vanilla graphics optimization mod. The creator of the mod put no focus in to getting Optifine to PROPERLY work with mods as it would be a logistical nightmare as every modder has their own methods of rendering their stuff.
Optifine at best hardly affects modded play FPS and at worst causes glaring graphical errors, like things missing textures.
