Getting a T5 blaze farm the legit way (i.e. visiting Nether fortresses and filling up the soul shard yourself) is not trivial. You will need a substantially upgraded GraviSuite armor set or a similarly upgraded ModularPowerSuit (MPS) setup. Also note some mod updates are nerfing blaze rods values and not all mods packs/servers including Soul Cages..

I was to comment on this. You do not need a gravisuite or MPS to do this. All you need is some cooble and a little pataince.

Trip through the nether is not all that risky if you are aware of the area around you. Once you find your blaze spawner just put a cobble box around it with a small opening that lets you attack a blaze while giving them poor line of sight on you.

Or you could make Rum! 2 planks, 1 Rubber Log, 1 Scaffolding and 32 Sugarcane gives 32 bursts of Fire Resist and damage resist, don't drink too much at once though, as your mother says, you'll go blind
