Solved IndustrialCraft2 Compressor

When ever I try to move it by breaking it with a pickaxe(tried stone and the clay one), I get the Basic machine casing.

I have crafted it twice and both times when I try to break with pickaxe(to move the machine) I don't get the machine back, but I get the basic machine casing instead. Which requires me to recollect the items to make the electronic circuit to make the compressor again.

i'm on the 2.0.0 version

It's normal with all IC2 machines

Right-click all machines with an IC2 wrench - never use a pickaxe.

that moment when someone new to modded minecraft plays IC2 and has the WTF moment. lol, such a rude awakening for all the hard work you put into a machine to be destroyed by an antiquated and obnoxious mechanic

In older versions IC2 i remember that normal Wrench have still a chance to destroy a machine. EU powered Wrench "Electric Wrench" should be 100% safe

Oh jeez, I think that's still true.

Call me crazy but I believe there's a config to allow you to dismantle ic2 machines with pickaxes (safely)

Just checked - in general.ini, change the following to true:

; Allow to pick blocks up using just a pickaxe instead of needing a wrench.
ignoreWrenchRequirement=false
