So, I have my entire Industrial Blast Furnace made out of Advanced Machine Casings (the pink high-end ones), and I have Lava in the two center blocks... and I only have a heat capacity of only 2880, rather than the ability to cook up some Hot Tungsten.
First you take 4 Kanthal heating coils ("standard heating coil") and right click the blast furnace block with them. Then you take (if you want the heat cap higher) 4 Nichrome heating coils ("advanced heating coil") and right click the blast furnace block with them.
Still a no-go. Tried right clicking, tried punching. none of the heating coils do anything to it. Would it help to know that this problem only started with the patch yesterday and it was working fine before?

I had the same problem, you actually have to have a stack of at least 4 Kanthal Heating coils selected before you right click. It is not possible to insert them individually, like for example overclockers, you have to do them all at once.
