Is there any chance of an improved updating system for server owners?

Right now, the only way to update (as far as I'm aware) is to delete everything except your world, and reupload the mods, coremods and config folders. This is exacerbated when the .jar file's name changes, such as from Direwolf20.jar to FTBServer.jar. You need to chmod -x the serverstart.sh file, which has a different name each update, and it's just anoying.

The reason for changing the name is making it easier for people who use rented servers / VPS i reckon . If they make the names of the startscripts all the same the hosts / minecraft server software packages only have to watch for 1 file.
