Last time I tried it, trains could be launched through Mystcraft portals with few casualties. This mod often gets disabled though and it would be nice to have a reliable in-house solution.
They've been mentioned, but I'd like seeing Golem operated hand carts for automated movement, but with limitations in number of carts to be pushed/pulled (perhaps based on the golem and its upgrades).
Infernal Furnace Engine Cart: Requires Infusion Crafting.
- consumes essentia (ignis and motus come to mind)
- essentia fed by Infernal cart's UI (glass phials + internal tank) and/or having an Essentia Jar Cart linked to it
Alchemical Furnace Cart:
- intended to be used in conjunction with Arcane Bore Cart
- can be upgraded like golems; intended to be able to smart filter (1 item), ex. smelts cobble for perditio [and saxum] to increase Arcane Bore Cart's mining speed.
- flux 'spills' and other negative effects if there is nowhere to store the essentia (must be correctly managed)
Arcane Lamp Carts: Simple. Lights the way.
For those using Thaumic Tinkerer:
Kinetic Attractor and Corporeal Attractor Carts. Could prove to be extremely useful.
Food for thought.

Well, since this is Magic I really think flying carts would be cool. A vertical cart elevator would certainly be very cool. Perhaps there could be special carts that float, and do not need rails? They would simply keep going in the direction of the last rail, and you'd only need rails to change directions/stop the cart. With upgrades, they could go up vertical inclines by themselves.

not sure if they have been mentioned but magic mirror carts
some type of essentia magic mirror cart
so i can set up a system to use the arcane bore cart that feeds into the infernal furnace cart and produces all the essentia needed all in a train

Some way of filling up essentia carts without them having to stop would be nice.
A magic mirror rail (track ending at a magic mirror) would have uses if they allowed cross dimensional transit. However they should be very expensive.
