I have this pickle on my hands at the moment and I can find no explanation that makes sense.
I'm running a DW20 1.6.4 server, with a bunch of added mods.
I have addressed all the ID conflicts, and I have posted detailed instructions for everyone to follow, together with a fully updated list of config files that they need to copy to their installation.
It works flawlessly for everyone. Some players connected fine, and I tried it more that 10 times myself (deleting own installation and following my own instructions) just to make sure that I didn't mess up anywhere. Works good for me, and for everyone else.
I have however, one player, where this is not working. He keeps getting ID conflicts for a particular mod, no matter how many times he reinstalls everything, and copies configs. I even sent him my own installation zipped up just to make sure and he still gets the conflicts.
The only difference he has from the rest of us, is that we're all running fairly modern machines with Windows 7 and 8.1 64-bit, and he's still sporting a 32-bit Windows XP with 2GB RAM, where launcher only allows him to assign 1GB max to Minecraft.
He does manage to play Unleashed and Ultimate fine however. I spent literally 3 hours on Skype with him yesterday with no success.
I'm really out of options now.
Ideas anyone?
