Hey All,

Looking to get Sound working for IC2 within DW20 1.5.1
Have checked IC2 Mod Within DW20 1.5.1 and the Sounds I like to hear are in there, but Don't want to play while Ingame.
Checked the IC2.cfg and there's only the one reference to EnableSound=True
Cant' quite remember but thought the .cfg had some pointers to the sound files 'path' within the mod at some stage. They no longer seem to be there. Not sure if it's one of the other mods blowing out IC2 sounds or what. Or whether it's a DW20 pack cfg I'm missing that's disabling them.
Had a search on this but there are a few different ideas of what's going on.
Tried the F3+S no change.

IC2.jar\ic2\sounds\Generators\NuclearReactor
Any help appreciated.

  1. Download "Notepad++" and install
  2. Open the folder your FTB is installed into
  3. Navigate to the folder with the config files
  4. Open IC2.cfg with notepad++
  5. Go to line # 130 and you'll see
    Code:
    # Enable sounds
    B:soundsEnabled=false
  6. Change False to True

Exellent Thank You!

Before I continue, I should state that I have had Notepad++ for quite some time and I did every step you mentioned. Apart from the line #130 had no #Enable Sounds. It was showing on #127
Reason I'm replying to this at all, is I'm sure someone will get a laugh out of it! Admin feel free to move to "Epic Fails thread" :)
Moral behind the scene kids.... Don't drink and configure, due it will usually end badly.
Once sober... one realised that it was the "Client" IC2.cfg he should be configuring! :oops:
Needless to say I am :) to say my IC2 sound is working.
