IC2 Or UE?

I gave up on IC2. Between things exploding for reasons not readily apparent, new things replacing the tricks IC2 could do, it was an amazing mod to start modded Minecraft with, but my interest in the mod waned. All the things it could do, were over shadowed by the things it couldn't.

As for UE+Mek, I don't use them because I don't understand them.

I only have IC2 because I like Gravitation Suite, GT & Nuclear control. Without GregTech IC2 does nothing for me, as I got other mods like Mekanism and TE3. If I am not playing with Gregtech I will also don't have IC2.

Honestly IMO the advanced machines are awesome. Cook two items at once at twice the speed of a regular furnace? Yes please. While there should ne an option, people have wanted UE in FTB packs since...1.5 I believe? I also like the nuclear reactor since I might actually be able to run it(my computer had trouble last time I ran Atomic Science, though I believe that has been fixed. And yes, I do believe a mod like IC2 should be kept because of that. It should have its own machines and progression integrated. Just my 2c

As far as I know that would duplicate IC2 speed too. xD Its just more expensive but hey.. Nothing comes without a price right?

For the rest, it seems that the majority here thinks IC2 is disposable.. ANd, just another thing for the ones that said that wanted the crops system, if the crops system were isolated (and also, if you want to, the armor from tico were to be finished and up) would you still need IC2?

Without GT, I dont need GT stuff. GT sortve makes the demand for it exist when its around, but when its gone you dont miss it IMO. I use a Mek, TE3, MFR combo that works out great for me and my server. Its also performs better with my friends.

I will agree that several of the mods that use the UE api are kinda buggy now, but theyre going thru lots of changes as is IC2. I have been submitting suggestions and bug reports to help things along. Aiden and Cal are great at responding to requests, and almost always fix or make improvements to anything I've seen submitted.

What has been everyone's experience with bug reports for IC2?

It would also handle more than two items at a time, and might take less energy too. Deffinately worth the cost IMO.

The elite factory can handle 7 stacks simultaneously, and get upgraded to use less energy and work faster and has TE3 similar IO control. Oh and you can pick it up and it retains the energy and upgrades inside it. And it can automatically evenly spread a single stack over its several available slots to process things faster.

So what we're saying is get Mek I guess...

Exactly this. Plus, you can upgrade the machines into factories and still retain their energy levels AND inventories. This is why IC2 has been replaced by Mek in my world.

I really like how the factory's work. They are really good with AE automation so you can have it do 7 different things at the sametime compaired to IC2 you will need may more machines to achive the same goal.

My experience with bug reports in IC2 is nonexistent, in IC i did some report but.. well.. Just go to IC forums and you will see how they treat people..

And I just want to remind some people that, having a machine that costs 10 times what a single machine costs, but process faster and more is not only worth the cost because of its efficiency in game, but also, is a lot more PC friendly.. Just think, what do you think would make more lag? 7 Machines running and doing Tick things or a single machine doing what 7 can do? And I want to point out again just in case, it's balanced.
