Heyho everyone.
Im relativly new to modded Minecraft and today, i jumped headfirst into some very basic IC2...which horribly backfired.

Basic Setup:

.................Chest (1)
.................Hopper
Generator;Macerator;Electric Furnace;Chest (2)
........[------Insulated Tin Cable------]

Both Macerator and E.Furnace have an Ejector Upgrade.

From what ive been told, this is the most basic "Throw ore in Chest one, get ingots from chest 2" setup.
The first setup i build like that didnt even get to the smelting part. Once the Macerator was done, it outputtet back into the hopper.

Out of frustration, i enabled cheat mode and build an exact replica of this setup....
It DID output crushed ore to the furnace, but the furnace send its ingots back into the macerator, creating one giant energy wasting loop.

Neither transfer pipes (i tried wood and cobble) nor item ducts did anything.

Again, im a complete newb and i have no clue what went wrong here.

you need to set the ejector upgrade to eject to the correct side by clicking the corresponding side of any block with it.

To push down you would right click it on the bottom of any block and so on.

There is also a pulling upgrade which will allow you to take the hopper out as well ;) Programmed the same way as the ejector upgrade, shift right click on the side of a block facing the direction you want to eject/pull to.

Yes those pushing and pulling upgrades are quite badly implemented. If you ever want to input/output through the bottom of a block you better hope you have a low ceiling. The other sides you can just click on the side of a machine.
It's only slightly better then a one way mode cycle.

Pulling upgrade in the Furnace would be just as effective.

And if you need to go out the bottom, you can always place a block above your head on the wall and click on the bottom of that. :p
