I have SOME experience with java coding (I coded a small mod a while back, would need to get my memory back XD) and I would love to take part!
I also think I am purty good at making up ideas. (Not being to arrogant or anything

You could make a proper page for this and then have all the ideas on it, and then when they are coded, put done next to it or something.

OK heres another random thing.
We got all these mods right... magical, techical, um otherical?
But no one has updated the bed. Come on it can be more then just a model spawn point guys.
So what about a 'sleep pod'? And since few people like just style mods (actuly I like style mods a lot) you can give it some upgrades. Maybe a have your basic sleep pod and then have a coulpe of machines that attch to it to give it other powers. Like a medical suite (heals or maybe gives a 10 minute regen buff), a reguvinator (fills food bar), and a some cool name calibrator (gives other selectable 10 minute buffs).

what if they added .... um... explovise power? Like a crazy gun powder/creeper fuel interalcombustion engine. Call it the the LambertCBC motor
There does need to be more uses for gun powder. Has anyone made land mines in a mod yet?

advanced beds in themselves would be a mod worth investigating.
But take a lesson from powersuits and MFFS, work to eventually not even really need the mod (ic2) that you are expanding out of.
The ability to set spawn, in daylight, in single player... the ability to dye the bed to match the room.

would be cool to have wind mills like the ones in red power too, maybe with some different mechanics to make them even more interesting(inb4 you can convert blablabla, i cba crafting 5 machines just to convert power that should be all the same in the first place)

No in his normal LP he does uses chain explostions and puts the tnt on top of a leaf block (becuase it has like no blast reistance) to clear out large rooms.

Yeah add um... er... unobtainium that can only be found in small amounts in the end like 1 in 1000 blocks.
Then make it needed for anything not vanilla.
Then make an end game item that just turns on creative mode.
If you like his FTB stuff you really should check out his vanilla LP at least his current world. That man does some amazing stuff with redstone and has some of the best looking build around. His current world he opt'd to live in a cave and I tell you it is the best looking cave of all man kind.
