FMA reference aside, Can anyone look at the pic and tell me if there's any way I could fix this? It removed the bedrock in this area, too, it's a line of totally empty chunks.

If anyone knows the cause, too? I assume it's just a world-generation error. Pack is unleashed, was using recommended when I noticed it.

I usually get this when chunks don't get transferred from the server properly. Wandering away far enough, or relogging (or restarting the server at worst) usually fixes it.

Yah it's just a chunk can't be arsed to load error, you get these in vanilla MC too sometimes, but not as common as you get with modded MC. But then vanilla MC doesn't have stupidly fast ways to move like FTB packs do and thus gives the server a chance at loading everything/keeping up in vanilla.

Log out, wait a min or two and then log back in, tried running so far in the opposite direction that the chunks unload and then coming back in?

It happens at the edges of your chunk loading range from time to time. Server or single doesn't matter much really. All solutions I've ever heard go back to log out and back in. Servers have the hiccup of other players or chunk loaders, but no reason it shouldn't work the same otherwise considering solo play is your PC acting as it's own server.

F3+A should help or changing the render distance which both reload all the chunks. If the hole is still there it's possible that it is simply an actual hole, try throwing something in there. If it jerks up and down the chunk just hasn't loaded for the client but if it falls all the way down the chunk is actually empty and you would need to recreate it by deleting the corresponding file.

It's a true hole, I've tested that already. So I need to go into my mc file and delete those chunks? How do I find out which chunk file goes to which chunk name?

You'll have to google that. I think there was a tool by Dinnerbone to get the file name of a chunk.

That's actually rather shocking, because one would think if it was an actual hole that the sides of the blocks on either side of it would render just fine...but in your image they are all black (which is what would happen for an existing, but unloaded, chunk.

The lighting doesn't update until you get close enough so it's expected.

Still looks exactly like the failed chunk load errors. If you see mobs having a weird drift and jump movement in it, it's not a real hole.

Best test, just go into creative and walk in. If it has funny behavior, chunk funk. You just fall, then chunk went plunk.
